Post-accreditation monitoring

Post-accreditation monitoring is the systematic follow-up of accredited educational institutions and study programs throughout the accreditation period. Its purpose is to confirm that the institution continues to meet the accreditation standards and consistently implements the recommendations of the External Expert Panel (EEP).

What monitoring includes

• annual reports of accredited institutions on the implementation of the EEP recommendations action plan;
• interim visits to the institution during the accreditation period;
• analysis of key quality indicators of study programs;
• review of substantial changes in the institution's activities (reorganization, changes to program content, change of leadership);
• a decision of the Accreditation Council to confirm, suspend or withdraw accreditation based on monitoring results.

Obligations of accredited institutions

An institution must submit an annual post-accreditation monitoring report, inform CAAAE of substantial changes in due time and give experts access to the necessary materials during interim visits. Failure to report may give grounds to reconsider the accreditation status.
